Bernd Metz (1979) is a frankfurt-based freelance writer, curator and artist. He studied Culture Anthropology, Art History and Art Education in Frankfurt (2004-2010) and Art and Philosophy in Barcelona (2007). He works as an Assistant Director at the Gallery Heike Strelow, as an Research Assistant at the Goethe University Frankfurt (Visual Culture) and at the Museum of Communication, Frankfurt. Currently he is working on his doctoral thesis about walking as an artistic practice. He is a member of the werkbund.jung - Deutscher Werkbund Hessen e.V. and spez.lab, a group of independent artists. Recent projects and exhibitions are HL119 - ready to move? (Frankfurt 2011), toll gallery (Montevideo, Frankfurt and Mainz 2009-2011), Modeled Realities (Frankfurt 2011) and Synthesen (Frankfurt and Mainz 2010-2011).
